ShanKri-la (aka K-IntheHouse) writes about Remember The Milk going offline using the new Google Gears tool. I remember checking out the to-do list service Remember The Milk some time ago but never really tried it (I usually use the Simpleology system to create “daily tasks” lists). But this sounds pretty cool – it’ll also be interesting to see how Google Gears will develop. It’s going to open up a lot of new possibilities.

Kassper posts about the launch of the AGLOCO viewbar. That’s good news – it looks like they delayed the launch quite a bit. Well, better to launch something that works rather than having to patch it constantly. I joined AGLOCO a few months back but didn’t promote it much. There is too much uncertainty around it for me to spend a lot of time on it. But it might work… Right now I can’t access their site to check my downline so I can’t give stats on that.

Jacob talks about how you should do more than you learn. That’s a great tip because that’s what I think a lot of people do – they buy eBook after eBook (or regular book, audio course or some other information package) thinking that this one will fix all their problems. I used to do this to some degree and I guess I still do a little – I sometimes get caught up in reading blog after blog because they’re all so good and educational. Looks like I have to be more strict and set aside specific periods where I’m going to only work on building my business – and also set aside time to reeducate myself. Because even though nothing happens if you don’t take action you have to be aware of the latest discoveries – especially when you have an online business where everything changes so fast. So, don’t be an information junkie – be an action junkie!

Ryan gives a great tip on how to increase your website performance if you’re running AuctionAds on your sites. I might need to try that one…

Natron provides some good tips on how to properly network. Creating the right kind of relationships is very important when building your business – you might just be one joint venture away from huge success.

Scot posted a couple of videos on public speaking. These are more like “how NOT to” videos – they are so embarrassing, but still funny :)

Techified checks out the new Nokia E65. My current cellphone is over 3 years old so it’s time to upgrade – I might consider the E65 because I want my new phone to be all tricked out :)

Gary talks about the importance of message-to-market match – or that’s what I think his point was ;)

Jeff thinks women are dangerous. Yes, definitely – if your focus isn’t at the right place bad things can happen ;)

Chee posts about trying to live without the major search engines for a day. I don’t think I could do it – I use Google all day, every day. It’s just become a part of my life – both personal and business.

Also, as a bonus, here is a post from a loyal reader, Emad. I kept seeing his image (the green lantern or something) on the MyBlogLog “Recent readers” widget in the sidebar — New feature in Google Images lets you get only results for faces. Interesting… I tested it a little and it seems to work. I wonder how Google does that – if they developed (or acquired) an algorithm that detects faces or if they’re having people go through the results and pick out faces? The algorithm is more likely…

• Techified takes a look at the second generation of iPod Shuffle – the MP3 player I’m using at the gym has only 128 MB so I’m thinking about upgrading soon. I’ll probably get a Shuffle or a Nano…

• Ryan J. Parker thinks Google’s AdWords Quality Score is Confusing – yeah, there are many different factors that go into the quality score so it can be hard to figure out how you can improve your quality score. I would try the “peel and stick” method and create a separate ad group with very targeted ad copy and landing page for your most important keywords (or keywords that you want to improve the score of).

• Jayson Joseph points out that you should look for simple solution – good tip and nice story :)
• Dawud Miracle posted a video showing you How You Can Read 600 Feeds Each Morning – pretty cool video. Some nice tips if you want to stay on top of things in your market.

With the recent Page Rank update it can be quite beneficial for webmasters to comment on my blog. Not only is the front page PR4 but the Top Commentators links are on all sub-pages (of which many are PR3 and PR2) – and if you put your blog into the URL when you’re commenting you might end up on the next top commentators “link love” post :)

A virtual Easter egg is a hidden message or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, or video game. The term draws a parallel with the custom of the Easter egg hunt observed in many western nations.

A couple of hints: It might be easier to find it if you’re using Firefox. Just look on the site and any pages linked from it. What can you expect when you find the Easter egg? Well, let’s just say that you might have some fun with it ;)

I think this is a pretty cool idea for promoting a new book – pretty original. Well, he is Mark Joyner – always trying something new and exciting.

Hi, my name is Hannes Johnson and I make money online – “Hi, Hannes!” – just kidding ;) But sometimes it seems like some people are addicted to making money online. Anyways…

I registered HannesJohnson.com 1,5 years ago because if you’re doing business online it just makes sense to register your name if you can – and if you can, register your name as .com (or if .com isn’t available you can get .name like Mark Joyner).

There are many reasons why you want to get [your name].com – #1 it’s unique and once you have it nobody can take it from you (unless it expires), it’s also good for branding and creating an identity and it just looks cool ;)

But I haven’t really used the domain for anything until now. I wasn’t sure what to put on this domain – I thought about setting up an online portfolio with a list of the websites that I run and perhaps occasionally post some news about me and my sites.

Putting up a blog makes sense and that’s what a lot of internet marketers/entrepreneurs are doing with their domain.

So, now I’m officially a dot com guy ;)

A little bit about me… I’m a 23 year old guy, I live in Reykjavik, Iceland and I make money online mainly as an affiliate marketer.

3 years ago (in the beginning of 2004) I started The Home Biz Blog. Beginning of a year seems like a good time to start something new… so this year I decided to open up Hannes Johnson dot Com.

I don’t know how often I’ll post here (depends on how busy I am with other things) but hopefully I’ll be posting something valuable that my readers will find useful. I’ll most likely be talking about affiliate marketing, residual income, AdWords, AdSense, advertising, internet marketing, search engine optimization and anything related to making money online. I might also throw in some off topic stuff that I find interesting.
